Amazon has launched Nova 2.5 Sonic, a speech-to-speech model with improved reasoning for voice agents. Compared to its predecessor, Nova 2.5 Sonic offers enhanced reasoning, instruction following, and tool-calling accuracy, while maintaining a 256K context window and supporting both voice and text in the same session. It is available through Amazon Bedrock in the US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Europe (Stockholm), and Asia Pacific (Tokyo) AWS Regions, with pricing unchanged from Nova 2 Sonic. According to AWS, Nova 2.5 Sonic enables voice agents to maintain context, follow multi-step instructions, and use connected tools efficiently, allowing for seamless real-time conversational applications.
